He is such a loving man.

It may be a good thing to talk about it. Who really knows. Only the ones still not at peace can say for sure.

But he never talked about it.

Service for a lifetime. A career. Continuing long after the fighting was over. 

He gave the silver star to his mother. She was proud to have it. He's not sure where others are right now.

He had two sons. One served for a while. Not a success. He has never been more proud of his boys.

He has never talked about his long war.
