A New Day in Kansas

all of us in the middle of america rejoice

ol man winter has packed his bags

........ finally

its a new day here in Kansas

a fresh air blows from the west

the horses running kicking up their hoofs

around the house Bailey the cat nose to the screen

as yellow tulips are smiling at us

birds awake in the trees

all is green in Kansas once again

we humans race to and fro

sad to say not slowing how many will see

my yellow tulips all neat in a row

for its a new day

here in Kansas
