Depression is the fear of never being good enough. Depression is curling into a ball against the wall and not being able to breathe while you don't sob.

Depression is being afraid to ever be single, because you don't believe you'll ever find someone else.

Depression is needing just someone to care enough to be the person who makes you not-single.

Depression is self-hatred.

Depression is self-deprecating.

Depression is deformed self-image.

Depression is quick sand--what seems safe at first, will drag you down.

Depression is hopelessness and worthlessness.

Depression is loneliness and uselessness.

Depression is "fat! ugly! stupid!".

Depression is darkness.

Depression is cold.

Depression is numbness while still being able to be hurt.

Depression is apathy... and too much empathy.

Depression is a paddle boat.

Depression is an ocean.

Depression is falling...

and sinking

and sinking

Depression is drowning.

Depression is a trembling statue made of cracked stone.

Depression is wanting to be independent, but afraid of being alone.

But strength is working through this.

Strength is being independent through the fear.

Strength is swimming back up.

Strength is filling in your own cracks.

Strength

creates

Independence.
