We have been together for awhile now 
Slowly growing closer 
Sharing our hopes and dreams. 
Thus allowing us to be 
Each other's comfort and support.

Over the past few weeks 
I have felt 
Distance gradually creeping in...
You say you care, want and love me 
More than words. 
But then you say you love two others.

So is it love or lust? 
This I’m not sure. 
But, when questioned 
You get defensive 
And refuse to answer.
 
I have heard whispers 
That other people’s relationships have broken up 
Because of your interest, 
Yet you seem not to care...
Until someone retaliates, 
And you get hurt, 
Then it’s their entire fault.

Trying to find an easy answer, 
This there doesn’t seem to be. 
Just hoping that you realise, 
The damage you cause 
Before you break another heart...
