Fallen Snow on Christmas Day

"This is a poem I wrote a few years ago when we had a white Christmas."

The pines are hanging low
Weighted by the new fallen snow
It looks as though the clouds
Have fallen to the ground below

The white replaces the green
Making a winter wonderland scene
And the woodland creatures about
Make all your senses keen

Snowflakes falling with their grace
Winding and weaving, down they race
Covering the dead of winter's past
Making the world a better place

So white, and all so pure
They bring the world a cure
From the burdens that we bare
Blanketing us with its allure

The world is at peace today
No harsh words will we say
Cause this simple little snow
That has fallen, This Christmas Day.
