We all have them don't we

The friends that bring no benefits

To the relationship at all anymore

They may have started out sweet

And caring and interested in us

But that seems to have passed

Never to return it seems to us

Because we try to reach out to them

And get ignored for our efforts

It would seem the least they could

Do was to express interest in our

Work that we put out there for them

And all the others who do care

But they are not friends and friends

Should be there for us in our lives

So what is the problem and the deal

Our friends who will not be a friend

Are we invisible now or unimportant

To your life now because you have 

Other things that take your time and

Your attentions away from such as we

We see how it is and we will accept it and

Forget that once we were together

But now are apart and that won't change

Whatever we try to do because you have

Made your decision or maybe just 

Forgot that we exist or ever even did

So peace be with you old friends of yore

Who slip away and stay away today

Tomorrow and always forevermore.
