It's Going Well, What Could Go Wrong?

It's going well, what could go wrong?
One friend's going to the Bear's land,
The evil there is growing strong.
Freedom is drifting off like sand.

My thoughts are losing in their quest
To be as sharp as they once were.
Words escape me, I'm not my best,
My mind is now no longer sure.

Getting a part in any play
Was once a dream, a role I sought,
But now that I am there today
My brain wonders what I have wrought.

Stories flow as I type them out,
Poems that I can write with ease,
But still I wonder, have my doubt,
Is anybody reading these?

Behavior changes make me fear
That I am losing what I hold,
And as I sit and ponder here
I must make plans, I must be bold.

Call the doctor, seek his guidance,
Do all I must, remaining true
To the one who loves in silence.
It's my duty, offer what's due.

It's going well, it won't go wrong.
My friend will return to his home,
My writings will grow only strong,
My mind will strengthen, will not roam.

Believing I shall still be free
With all I want and all I need,
And love and honor to bless me,
Our new life will be as a seed.

Watch the skies and see the stars shine.
Let their soft glow suffuse your heart.
Hear the singing birds in the vine.
Begin anew with a fresh start.
