New Day Swallows

Tags: musing
Banging out words,
on the keyboard to me,
is so boring.
I prefer squeezing...
squeezing the quill.

As ink drops fall
on paper.
Sometimes in my mind.
With no letterhead,
or worn blotter.
If I don't vapor lock,
before the New Year.

Scribing into the dawn,
of the new day swallows.
Before resting between sheets.
Blowing out the tapers.

It matters not colloquy,
or tête-à-tête
Upper case or lower.
My soul arrives at many floors,
when scratching on parchment.

The subject matter...
whatever.
Getting off third tier.
Sometimes sensual,
other times neurotic.

Scribing into the dawn,
of the new day swallows.
Before resting between sheets.
Blowing out the tapers.
Yawning.

I rarely write by hand anymore, but I take satisfaction in shiny keys and the click of my fingers making them so.
