The darkness was everywhere

I could not see my hand before my face

As he sat me on the trunk in the closet

I knew I had done something bad

but what my mind wanted to say

No words came out

Only a few tears running down my face

You have been a bad girl he continued to say

You need to be corrected

I accepted my faith

I bowed my head and continued to cry

The door was shut and the lock clicked into place

The cloths were so hot

Darkness all around

Watch out for rats

I finally heard him say

I had to keep moving

So dark

So hot

So scared

I must of passed out

How long was I in there this time

I wanted to say

As I looked up and saw his face

Get cleaned up

Your sweaty

You did this you know

You made me do this he said

As he lifted me off the trunk

Out of the closet once more

Not knowing what I was punished for

Only glad to be out

Until I was punished once more
