Visions of leopard print pillows

You filled my ears with lies
You played such a game
It shouldn't have been a surprise
I am to blame

I fell for it
Hook line and sinker
Believed it all
What was I thinking

You became my best friend
And then I loved you so
Hours and hours spend together
I couldn't let you go

Words meant just for me
They were all untrue
Repeated to every other girl
I wasn't special to you

You told me you loved me
And we'd always be together
And now you are alone
How's that for forever

I don't hate you anymore
Though hate used to once bleed from me
You were one big lie
Now, I see clearly

Every once in awhile
A vision passes through my mind
Of leopard print pillows
And kissing goodbye

It no longer tears at my heart
And breaks my soul
For you proved you were just another boy
Playing a pretend role
