I do all kinds of different things though I have perfected.. nay ..gotten good at very few of them. But I like to play music, read, and learn. I think it's mostly the last that keeps me branching out and I can't stick with anything.I write when a passion overcomes me. Typically it is about a woman I love.
Hi, there pretty lady!

It's early. I can stand in my spot.
Best trouble I ever had.
It depends on if it's a metaphor. In literal-land I would build a snowman.Wassail or Egg Nog?
Dancing beneath the stars with you, Thrills my throbbing heart. My skin delights at your first touch, Such a way to start. Tingles travel down my body, Your face, eyes, and smile. I want to drink you deeply in, Let us spend a while. Moonlight shining throughout your hair, Sparkling in your eyes, Sensuous soft lips pressed to mine, Shedding our disguise. ...

How? . Stop and start. Start and stop. Brain is locked; Ideas are blank. Words won't flow; Soul won't sing. Inadequate in everything. "She's an angel," I say These gross hands are just blocks. I need a fine razor, I have only an axe. She is precious and fine, And I'm just a clutz, She's such a great treasure, My crate just won't do. A princess at the ball, Me, the court jester, Her...

. Out in the sea, Two rocks stand joined. Leaning together, Resisting time. Pillars of strength, They stand as idols. Lovers travel far, To admire the pair. The waves crash, And the wind blows. Year after year. Together they remain. Not the mightiest ship, Not the strongest storm, Not the largest wave, Can put them asunder. You are my rock, You are my strength Lean on me, my love, As...

.The alarm screams; awake with a sniff Bones creak, and muscles stiff, Reaching to hit the snooze, But the world's in its brightest hues. Freezing water tries make me clean, Just as cold the coffee beans, A lack of milk has the cereal dry. And yet I grin in reply. The car didn't want to start, In traffic behind a farmer's cart. The time clock says I'm very late. My joy still will not abate....

. The days are shorter, They grow colder, They grow dimmer, A breeze from the north. Green fades to gray, Not steady each day, But slowly, inexorably, The summer will fade. I feel it in my bones. I feel it in my head. I feel it in my soul. Little to feed my heart. The fields are more sparse, No leaves on the trees, The sun hides behind clouds. The chill seeps in. Winter is coming....

. Off we go to the playground To laugh and jump and run. Holding your hand on the way, Our bodies poised for fun. Dizzy from the merry-go-round, Holding tight to your hand. You keep me safe and grounded, Protected from the unplanned. The teeter totter goes up and down, Insides all aflutter. You fill me with joy; toes to nose Laughing like a nutter. Then we swing without...

I approach you slowly, Laid out on the bed, All your skin exposed, And curls upon your head. I admire every line, The smile on your face, The firm muscles below skin, Awaiting my finger's trace. My heart filled with joy, Before the first caress, I think of all our history, Passing every test. My fingers work their magic, Along your supple skin. Kneading stress away, Healing can begin. I...

I could tell Susan was tiring of the serious conversation and I wasn't the only one. Andy caught my eye, ordered another Guiness, and said, "Tell her about Victor." I got a big grin on my face and said, "That is the best idea I've heard all evening." Susan smiled anticipating the story. I pulled Andy his beer and began. "Victor is a big, big Puerto Rican guy with more charisma than...

I texted Susan a few times, but I didn't want to scare her away so I kept it to pleasantries. She hadn't offered much of herself in the weeks she had been coming in, and I knew pushing would be a bad idea. Still, it made me smile every time I got a reply. I got really excited the next time she came through the big front door late one evening. It was a weeknight, and only a few customers...

"You're married?" Susan exclaimed. I felt a hole where my stomach should have been. I saw the look of shock and horror across her face. Then a pained look took over her whole body. I broke out in a cold sweat. I couldn't imagine hurting this woman and I barely knew her. I nodded slowly. "Why did you ask me out if you're married?" she asked through clenched teeth. The anger radiated from her...
