Greetings and Welcome to my page.I am a former DJ, Bouncer, Bartender and Night Club manager in Ft Laud and Ohio. I've been a cab driver, flipped burgers, pizza maker, dishwasher, truck driver, puppeteer, martial arts instructor and Police Officer.I provided the voice for radio commercials for the various haunted house projects and other Halloween functions and made numerous appearances as "The Count" hence the nickname. I have been very active in community theater since the 80's and played every bad guy you can name. Yes, Halloween is my favorite holiday. Yes,I have been collecting vampire/Dracula memorabilia and dressing in black long before it became stylish and had a name. You were not called Goth back then, you were called freak, fag or weirdo and many other endearing names. If you could quote lines from movies and name the actors you were gay. If you could remember who played 3rd string tackle for the Miami Dolphins in 1977 and his stats, you were one of the boys.. I was never one of the boys. Between my travels, involvement with the theater, haunted house project, and being a mobile DJ for parties and weddings I have wealth of stories I would like to share them.Want to chat? If I am on I will respond. My stories are a mix of what I have seen and experienced while others are pure fantasy.

I wrote this in response to a friend that was trying to extol the virtues of being a dog owner. "Cats don't play as dogs do," he informed me. "Yes, they do. You just have to understand the game," I respond. Our little ragdoll female loves to play and her favorite game is "Where's the kitty." The game starts when I go into the basement to start a load of laundry. As I'm sorting the clothes...

One of the first jobs I held after quitting school was working at a TV antenna manufacturing plant where I worked with a very tech minded man named Jim. Despite holding a degree in electrical engineering he was unable to find work, so we wound up together helping to build design and test outdoor TV antennas. These antennae were usually mounted to the chimney and were a necessity back in the...

My longtime buddy called Dr. Radio has been gone for about twenty years, but the stories he related to me about his experiences will live on for as long as I do. He was a tall, well-built, good looking son-of-a-gun that was always well dressed and barbered. He had a promising career in radio, but it was cut short after a long battle with the program director. He was blackballed by that...

It was not a great Summer. The girl I was seeing decided to seek greener pastures and I fought with my buddy Dr. Radio about the way he ran his mobile DJ business. We had a verbal disagreement which ended with my quitting and stopped taking his phone calls. It was on the Friday of that week that I headed out to drown my sorrows at a well known and lively bar/ restaurant named the "Fast...

It has been another long and miserable day ferrying scrap metal and hazardous materials across the state and I am tired. I don't complain much, as it still it beats driving over the road because I am home every night. I activate the remote for the garage and slow the Harley down so I don't have to come to a dead stop to wait for the door to open. The absence of my wife's car reminds me that...

I cannot recall if I ever related this story on here as I couldn't find it. So with Halloween right around the corner, I feel compelled to tell it. This incident occurred sometime in the late-'70s when haunted houses had become the in thing for many organizations to help fund their other projects, I think that the Jaycees were among the first to discover it. I joined one of the local...

I can't recall the year but I was out of work just as the Summer was beginning. Back before the internet, job seekers were forced to peruse the morning and evening paper. I happened to come across an ad for a day camp counsellor and called the number. A very nice lady answered and I was asked to come in for an interview. I raced across town and was soon sitting opposite a very attractive...

Now the story goes that my middle brother Tom was treating our youngest one, Fred to lunch at our favourite twenty-four restaurant. He had heard us talk about it and was excited to visit the place that we frequented. Now despite it being the end of the lunch rush, it was still crowded when they arrived, but a booth was located and cleaned as they waited. As they were escorted to their...

We called him Don Magill which was not his real name. Short of wearing a sign that read "Cosa Nostra" he couldn't have been more obvious, well at least to me. He was always impeccably dressed and barbered. He had a deep gravely voice with just a trace of an Italian accent. His car was a long black Caddilac. He held court every afternoon at one of the local twenty four hour restaurants. If...

I had finally accepted the fact that I was never going to break into the broadcasting industry on a full-time level. I lacked a college background and had no desire to spend a couple of thousand dollars and attend a school for broadcasting. I still got plenty of work providing my wide range of voices for commercials and as a result, I became known to many program directors and station...
