A New Spark

A NEW SPARK I wonder if you feel anything like I do.  Do you long for the past, hate the present and fear the future? Has your heart been ripped up through your throat and straight out of your head up to the sky. You might feel something like this But do you also know that someday a new spark will start another fire?...

The Rhythm of Silence

Do you remember A special place Where the artistically woven branches Of a long-dead tree Told unknown stories from years past? Her grandson was having none of it so he corrected her by saying my name in three distinct syllables A - dree-en…….his grandma never called...

Waltzing Matilda

I had been living at the care home for a few months when the recreation committee decided to have an end of summer indoor street dance. It’s not that we didn’t have regular recreational events, we regularly had a pub night. Local musicians e.g. vocalists, guitarists, keyboardists & accordionists, who once played the club circuit, now found purpose and meaning in playing the care home...
