About belletrist

Writing... writing. I want to write and write well. I hope through experience, heart and some divine inspiration I can live up to my own expectations. I love to write about characters. Everything I write is largely character driven. It's quite indulgent of me.

Topic: Present or Past Tense in Fiction Writing
Posted: 02 May 2012 19:11

The amount of times I've tried to rework my novel because of tense - I find both have their advantages and downfalls. Which tense do you prefer when reading a novel and why? Is there a preferred style in the literary world?

Any input is appreciated. Thank you :)

Hiya everyone. I'm Rachel, and new to writing for the sake of writing well. Before, it was simply to pass grades, but now I want to write something that's worth reading. It's hard . Mostly because I find it so daunting I procrastinate like hell. But I hope joining stories space will help me become more motivated! I have so many stories in my head - all I need is the courage and skill to put them into words I am happy with.

I also want to read some great unpublished fiction! Words, in the right places, are wonderful.
