My 20th forum post! I drove a 1974 Orange Datsun pick-up truck in High School - but my senior year I bought and drove a sparkling green street legal dune buggy made from a Volkswagen bug.
I'm trying to post up to the 20 count so I can be a grown up here - but obvious to my photo - love to ride my motorcycle. 1999 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide with a Screaming Eagle Big bore kit and customized just the way I want it. My Chopper.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/E97CmNK3NtU Mony Mony - by Billy Idol - it is the dance song that brought out the groove in my wife and I - before marriage and after. Although there are many slow songs that we danced to - this was the one that made us love being ridiculous on the dance floor. To this day - we can still bounce to it as we sing along - often looking at each other while we do.
I think my longest was Virginia/DC to Seattle/Tacoma in Washington State, although I have driven all over the United States and there are only a few left that I have not driven through. One of the longest I drove straight was Dallas, Texas to Boise, Idaho. I have driven in other countries too, but the longest drives in the USA.
Medieval times or modern times, knight or soldier, one's word must be believable, and one's actions must follow. It can define you as an enemy or an ally, a friend or a foe. Time and modernity has not changed that measurement of trust. Man or woman, boy or girl, trust can be a treasure. Honor is a gift to yourself. The abandonment of an oath results in loss to both parties. First felt...

It was a dark and stormy night, in a metropolis before UBER, GRAB, and iPhones. She had been with friends but was now alone, although with an umbrella, no taxi in sight. He didn't mind the rain, but had taken temporary shelter off the street. She noticed him marooned under a shop cover as she strolled by. He noticed her walking alone and was still a believer in chivalry. She was not too...

Dirk was waiting in Laboratory #1. Dr. Ingram had invited him for a special briefing, promising to provide him more background and understanding of not only their next mission, but their overall mission. She also promised to brief what he needed to know about the enemy's tactics, and the Dirty Dozen's vulnerabilities. Dirk was absolutely ready, he had waited a long time to be trusted...

Jenna was intrigued by Ray's homework for her after their first official life coach session. Although she was vaguely familiar with what she knew to be a sensory deprivation tank, she had to agree with Ray, that a 'float tank' was a better marketing name for it. The main reason she knew about those tanks was a fiction novel she had read years back, The Door to December, or something like...

She loves her Daddy. He gave her all he could for her to stand on her own. She retains all he taught her, all the memories along the way, and the confidence that she built under his tender care. She travels many paths but it is at bridges that she remembers him the most. Chasms of various heights always scare her. Bridges may not be perfectly safe. "Cross with care, don't look down, and...

I am here to tell my own story. It's not yet over and I will have to go backwards before going forwards in order for you to understand my circumstances. I don't much like the word damned, as it has a history of being so final. I resist that I am damned, although I fully accept that I am cursed. You see, I made some bad decisions. I am sure there is not anyone out there that has not. So, I...

I've traveled many miles before reaching you. Fallen from vast heights, down waterfalls, rivers and through streams. My pollution is minimal as I have always kept moving. Now, I want to be a lake, never to leave you. A sanctuary you are to me. I feel safe, I feel clean, I feel fresh each day. My past is behind me. I have come a long way to be with you. As a lake, we must yet flow a little...

Jenna returned to her office after her breakfast meeting with Ray Evans excited for the rest of her day. He had been right about the Mediterranean Omelette, it had been delicious. She felt recharged and had a little more bounce to her step. She carefully reviewed the contract and legal forms that he sent to her email. Jenna sat in the waiting area of Cox Consulting, she was early. She was always early for appointments. It was part of her success strategy. A strategy that was working for her. She was a highly trained professional. A consultant herself, she smiled inwardly that she was about to become a client to a management consultant, as a paid benefit from her company. Her smile widened as she reflected...

She walked to the window, desiring to step from the dark toward light. Where was he now? Did she really want the answer to that? He was dedicated to a system that took more than it gave. It took him away from her. It always left her waiting for his return. He gave her everything. It was more than a job to him, she knew that. She loved him. She had sons by him and they loved him too. They...
