About CleverFox

Biography
CleverFox

When I started college I was hit with a mind numbing depression that lasted several years and had to put my plans for world domination on hold. Once I managed to shake the depression by shear force of will I managed to get degrees in Physics and Engineering. Now that I am back on track, my plans for world domination are coming along nicely, the best part of the plan is the fact that nobody realizes that it is happening, MUHAHAHAHA! I have had my heart broken several times in my life but my motto is "Never give up, never say die!"

I have been to both. I live in Colorado so you couldn’t swing a dead cat without hitting several microbreweries plus I am not too far from The Coors Brewery(in Golden) or from Anheueser-Busch Brewery (in Longmont). I am also very close to a winery called Carboys that has a good restaurant (in Littleton, a suburb of Denver). In fact on Saturday a good friend of mine and I are going to have lunch at the Breckinridge Brewery. I ride my recumbent there in good weather. It is about a 15 mile (24 km) round trip.

I would pick brewery because after taking the Coors Brewery tour there is a restaurant right across the street from the Coors parking lot called “Bob’s Atomic Burgers”. It is a bit pricey but worth every cent especially after you have had 4 - 8oz beer samples at Coors. The Sweet Potato fries with the Godzilla dipping sauce hits the spot after the beer.

Small independent burger restaurant or big chain burger restaurant?

Gas fire.

I love gas fireplaces almost more than wood burning fireplaces and cuddling with a significant other is much more fun in front of a fireplace than in front of an electric heater.

The Baby Races

The actions of this story took place on Easter of 1988. I was attending The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. My oldest brother Tony, his wife and his one-year-old son, John, lived in Columbus and I had caught a ride with them to our parents’ home for the Holiday.  All of my siblings, their significant others and their children were going to be at my household to celebrate the...

Snot-Nosed Frat Boys

When I started college at Ohio State, I was living in an apartment with two of my older brothers. My third year of college, I had to move into the dorms. When I moved, I had more social opportunities with women. So, I would ask a girl out on a Friday or Saturday, to one of the High Street clubs for some beer and dancing.  More often than not, when I was dancing with my date, a snot-nosed...

Welcome, citizen of Earth. It is hoped that you enjoy your sojourn to the stars but there are several important points to Galactic Culture that you must learn before you leave Earth space for more exotic climes.  Now, as you know that for the Earth to join the Galactic Federation, Earth and its people had to make three contributions to the Federation. A Goodbye Letter to a Good Friend

Right now I want to rage as only another redhead can understand. We have only known each other for a few weeks but I think we both felt a connection. I tried to keep myself from becoming too emotionally attached to you too fast but I guess I failed miserably. I woke this morning and I got the message of your passing from your aunt, feeling stunned, and I can feel the...

How to Have a Merry Christmas (or any holiday).

I discovered the secret to having a Merry Christmas long ago. It was Christmas Eve 1993. I stopped by my brother Gene’s home to drop off the presents I had gotten for my nephews, John and Nic. John was 9 years old and Nic was 7 years old. It was about 7 pm and I was invited to go to Midnight Mass. I enjoyed the time before mass playing with my nephews.  I had just been dumped by my long...

Goodgulf the Wizard, Ogers and Amazons, Part V

King Crusher lead me to the royal quarters, the royal quarters basically being a hut that is several times larger than any other hut in the village. When I stepped inside of the hut I was surprised to see that it was rather civilized, it was very clean with some of the nicest and largest furniture that I have ever seen. The was a very comfortable couch, a fully stocked bar, and a large...

The Spell-Book of a White Witch

Over twenty years ago I found a spell-book of a white witch. I looked through the spells listed and there were many interesting spells in the text. There were spells to win affection and to keep people from harming themselves and many others. (Every time I tried to cast the augur to receive love, I got interference from a specific individual that ruined the casting. You might think she...

Remembering a Semester of College

This story starts at the beginning of my senior year at Kent State. I was majoring in Physics and I was taking some high level courses. At the start of my second to the last semester before I was scheduled to graduate I was taking Electro-magnet Theory I (which I loved), Introduction to Quantum and Atomic Theory (which I also loved) and Physical Thermodynamics (which didn't love me).  I...
