I enjoy spending time on Stories Space getting to know all the wonderful people who post stories and play the forum here. Since I became a member of SS I have had poems published in three anthologies and achieved much confidence from the supportive feedback from my fellow Stories Space writers.

Me, I couldn't get a single poem up on the restroom wall in a bus station. You know Rump, I really believe you just don't give yourself enough credit sometimes...I truly believe that if you gave it the old college try, and really made a serious effort, you could probably get a single poem up on a bathroom wall somewhere...Maybe in a clean, respectable bathroom...not like the bathroom in that cyber-dive on another site whose name will never be uttered on these hallowed grounds known as Stories Space...Oh, and congratulations Diane... thank you alan, you are funny
Way to go, 2B, on getting two pieces published! Me, I couldn't get a single poem up on the restroom wall in a bus station. Congratulations. Funny! Not getting any on a rest room wall!thank you for your support.

Amanda the green witch very gently squeezed Yew berry to bewitch vile mortals who deserved to die by drinking brown- black seeds venting her wrath into the vat, her gown splashed by the boiling broth. Death Cap, Panther Cap a Pinch of, Fly Agaric Destroying Angel a Swirling deadly magic Peering through her window. Alfred whispered lets drag Her out, and get...

Part one: I sat in the train carriage feeling separated from the scene around me. I was starting my journey by rail down to Dover; across the Channel by ferry, across France to Marseilles, then by boat in tourist class to Israel. I had lived with this group of girls who were weeping with regret of leaving their parents behind, on a farm in Somerset where we were being selected as...

Tentative trusting and tenderly his lips lightly lingered on my mouth. Innocent and trustful I felt his body trembling against mine. Hopefully and hungry for love; I returned his kiss and love was mine. We clung to each other oblivious of the partying people around us. ...

I lie back in the grass we keep long for the butterflies. watching the clouds scudding across the sky feeling the tall stalks swaying in the wind Remembering when I was a child running bare legged down a grassy slope, falling and grazing my knees with green blood of the grass embedded in my skin. An ant crawls into my ear. A blade of grass tickles my face; the only place that I can feel...

Peace tiptoes gently Into my life Letting me breathe Keeping you in my sight. The moon glows and the stars shine so bright; imagine the universe a travelling light. Peace inside me Gives me the strength To see how the world Could be in serenity. One day all peoples Will see each other with Love in their heart and soul. And unite. Bring on the peace This star...

I catch my breath at the beauty of a tulip nodding in the breeze, the sweet moon shining like a Cheshire cat’s smile; an opalescent raindrop drooping from a spider’s web. Such beauty in the curve of your shoulder and the dark brows that protect your eyes; your gentle laugh and, most wonderful of all; is that I can share all of this with you....

As I listen to Bach; peaceful notes to rest my busy mind, gently enter my ears, calming my heart; the music carries me along energising my heart beat. The cello strings are gently stroked by the musician, working so hard to emulate his hero dead but exulted. The cello’s timbre closest of all instruments to that of a wide ranging male voice. comforts my female...

HOPELESS I am so shattered and so needlessly empty I thought I had a chance I was so expectant. Where did that chance go? The story was perfect. My heart was fully engaged; And my soul; my peers gave me loving feedback and my hope was pure. The day came to celebrate that I had won an award, but that sweet dream was jarred; rewards that never came before stayed...

I stood on an Erraid hill, attuned to ancient times; sensing the continuum of island life from the first sheep herders. For a city dweller it was a thrill when the signal “move forward” came from the valley below. Hurrying, scrambling; feeling the sun and wind upon my face; tripping on the clumps of grass and rocks; squelching in the bogs; brambles...
