Just a reader, not a writer. I strive to be quiet and listen. I have opinions, but try hard to be respectful and not let an opinion of mine, expressed without care, cause upset. I live in a very rural area. A beautiful area, but have to drive a distance for a real choice in shopping. I don't have the time I'd like to have to be online reading and participating in the forums. Seems real life and it's demands get in the way of the complete life of leisure I desire. If only I had self cleaning everything - and four full time gardners. I love to garden, but the weather must be absolutely perfect. Just looking forward to spending more time here and reading and getting familiar.

Well. Don't the Nationals give it a good effort? Deep sigh. Being last means you can only go up - or stay there. What a fast game it was today.

Mets are 1 and 1. I'll take it. What a thrill to finally watch a Mets win. They play at 2 today, I will probably watch it late tonight, if I can keep from seeing to score til then - no easy feat.I need to delay watching the game so I can...wait for it...GO SEE GODZILLA VS. KONG IN THE THEATER THIS AFTERNOON!Sorry for yelling. :)Congrats on your Padres, Larry (we call them the Dads). Glad your D-backs are clawing their way back to responsibility, Bill. Sara, your Braves are off to a rough start - sorry. Things will turn around on a team with that much talent. And Elizabeth - your Nats have their first win of 2021!Anyway. Time to get a few words in before the movie.Coffee and a cookie would be swell. Hope the movie was wonderful. After being so hyped on the Nats first win against the Braves, they managed to squeak by on both of the double header today. But, Sara, you do have some really great players there. And lots are pretty good looking too, Grin. But don't worry, Saturday we will crush the L.A. team. Yep. Sure of it.

Gill, I am thrilled you got to spend Easter with your parents. Brings a smile to my face. And Sara, darling, I'm afraid the Nationals pulled out a win at the last minute over your very strong Braves. Double header tomorrow.

Annie married a city fellow. She told her husband about kinfolk in Tennessee. She wanted them to meet. After their wedding, they set off to drive down. They went through the Great Smoky Mountains. Cars were stopped for a black bear on the road. Annie’s husband urged her to get out and get as close as possible for a photo. Annie stood in front of the bear, cute little purse over...

It is surprising how much changes in a lifetime. Cars, airplanes, refrigerators, telephones, electric stoves, big highways all over the country. All sorts. And people. Gosh, what changes. For instance, there was a little baby girl born in Tennessee and named Annie. Now, the parents of Annie’s daddy said they didn’t want that baby girl to go with her mother when she went to Washington, D.C....

High school is starting and I should be so excited. I am going to high school and my expectations are over the moon. Maybe just a little nervous ‘cause there will be so many students and teachers there I haven’t met. I don't know if any of my friends will be in my classes. Makes me nervous to have all new people. It still feels warm, but knowing the cooler autumn weather is just...

The world revolves my angel, and once more The time is coming when the days grow short, When happy thoughts of summer flee away, And all around is desolate and bare. Come fly with me to some exotic shore, Where bathed in golden light, we two can sport, Dancing gaily on the strand all the day, And through the night mount high into the air. O cruel lady, tell me what I've done, ...
