Digital, sadly. The paper newspaper was was one of my great joys, and I read it daily for decades. Until…I didn’t.

Ride a horse or surf a surfboard?

Surf, I'm not a fan of horses.

A trip to the Zoo or Planetarium?

Zoo. We always visit Hellabrun Tierpark when we go to Munich in December. It is so peaceful and a joy to see the animals in as close to a natural habitat as is possible.

Bagel or Croissant?

BAGEL! I have one every morning, though I have to stop - too much white bread and butter.

Barefoot or slippers?

Barefoot around our house. Slippers or flip-flops if in a resort, hotel, cruise ship, etc. Floors in those places tend to be filthy.

Listen to music or listen to a podcast/radio show?

Music.

Soothing melodies or hard rock?

Depends on mood, I think. Probably lean more to hard rock these days, but still enjoy something soothing at times.

Go to a concert or watch a livestream?

I'm good with a live stream. Concerts are too peopley.

Bob Dylan or Joni Mitchell?

Joni Mitchell. Huge fan since I first heard "Both Sides Now" as a kid. Not to knock Bob, though, I do like him as well even if I find him a bit overrated at times.

Sing along to a favorite song or just listen?

I like to sing.

Talk radio or music radio?

Music, on the rare occasions that I listen to the radio.

Local radio or National radio?

Depends on what I am in the mood for. National is better for news and some kinds of music, but things like classic rock are better on local.

Rainy day: Wear a raincoat or carry an umbrella?

If it's not windy, an umbrella (I have a light-up one, like in Bladerunner!)

Both have their pluses, but I have always leaned to Fall for some reason.

I am always open to something new. One can listen to an old favourite anytime, but what if you missed something new and it never found you again?

Beethoven or Berlin?

Assuming "Berlin" means the band and not the city, I'll take Beethoven.

Do taxes by hand or use software?

No. I leave that to my pension provider.

Live for the day or look to the future?

Live for the day mostly these days. Maybe with a side eye on the future.

Live in a Metropolitan or Rural area?

I love the thought of living in an historical apartment block in a city where the apartments have high ceilings and huge doors. Where at the end of the day, I would come home, close the huge wooden entrance door behind me, and shut out the hustle and bustle of the city. Then, I would relax and hear the traffic outside as just a very faint background sound. I could look out over the rain-soaked city at night whilst I was warm and cosy. (My Dad's brother's family lived in a large Victorian house in London, and I used to love going there for Christmas as a child.)

That was beautiful! I definitely choose Big Victorian. Since a child I have wanted to live in a Victorian.

Russian novel or American classic (Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Jane Austen, ect.)?

I have never really been attracted to the 'classics'. I once read Seven Pillars of Wisdom by T.E. Lawrence (of Arabia). I was tremendously disappointed and bored to tears.

Book or e-book?

Book. I very much dislike reading from a screen. There is also a certain quality that reading from a book has, where there is no technology required.

Travel by airplane or sailboat?

Airplane... provided it is an airliner.

River Cruise or Ocean Cruise?

Watch a documentary on a subject you are familiar with or a new subject?

Spending time with friends. Been building a stone fence for years.
