A poster for the kind of show that the Lowry puts on.

I can’t match the splendour of the New York skyline, but these pictures of Media City and The Lowry will have to do. They are in Salford Quays which is a development of the Manchester Shio Canal and Docks and about three miles from my home in South Manchester. Media City is the northern home of the BBC and has the largest sound stage in Europe, and The Lowry houses a major theatre and the gallery where Most of L S Lowry’s paintings are displayed.
