I love a late Autumn a rustic field with birds and the cold morning air and a clear blue sky with a beautiful globe of orange sunshine; inspiring me like the purist virginal white page with no words on a page. The early Spring misty morning smothers my breath, and the fine foggy rain like moisture from a oven covers my face.
I'm reading two books at the moment: Lonesome Rhodes one man, two wheels 19,00 miles by Ashley Rhodes, Hanging Man The Arrest of Ai Weiwei by Barnaby Martin. Plus one more book from the library that I dip in and out of is Cecil Beaton Portraits & Profiles very interesting character's.
Educating Rita - Willy Russell. The play!
My daughter say's when she has wrote something really good, she reads it again and thinks wow did I really write that, it's really good!
Absoloutly especially if it was a good piece of writing that is special to me, of course I enjoy reading it! I don't enjoy re-reading my not so great written work, but then when I start reading it again, I get that red pen out and start re-editing it LOL
Ok here it is ..the bible. Reading chapters randomly depending on stories and teachings in each book. Will leave it at that I'd rather read the Chamber Oxford Dictionary... words words words galore! £35.00 WHSmith (UK Shop) It's a big book and I love it!
I got about 6 books out from the library this week, just been reading a page of each the last couple of nights. I have settled on Moby Dick at the moment, it's making me read more because the language of certain phrases and words are keeping my mind interested. Wow been a long time since I trotted past here! I'mm reading currently this week short stories Coming up Roses stories of gardens and life (dark humour, comingup roses two pages long very funny from the start) edited by Caroline Oakley. I got it reccommended from my UK Library.
It's Thursday nite, just ate my tea and enjoying a glass of red after working all the hours my company sends me at night time, while I know the kids will take all my money come September LOL
While I read a lot, the last novel to turn my crank was Jonathan Frazen's, Freedom. Highly recommended. Series-wise, Terry Pratchett's Discworld series always improves my mood.:eyeglasses8: I thought for sure you were going to say DirtyMartini...who let you on this site anyway?Btw, your eyeglass smiley isn't working here...but, I'll look into that for you...I'm a moderator over here, so I have the power...And no jokes about me being in a position of authority...I think I've heard them all in the last week...jeez, give a poor guy a break... ha ha ha, that's funny LOL Al

Beautiful White Horse by HoneyBee000 Oh beautiful, beautiful white horse running free, the morning frost melting underneath your hooves. I call your name and I watch you plod heavily diagonally through the sodden mud towards me, steam expelling through your nostrils. I wait patiently at the gate and you nod and whinny as you come to greet me! I give you tokens of orange carrots and...
