Buddy Guy : First Time I Met The Blues //www.youtube.com/embed/m9v5Oevbyx8 There is nothing like the blues. Good one Alan. Buddy is classic.
A State Trooper was patrolling off the main highway late one night. He sees a couple in a car, with the interior light brightly glowing. He carefully approaches the car to get a closer look. Then He sees a young man behind the wheel, reading a computer magazine. He immediately notices a young woman in the rear seat, filing her fingernails. Puzzled by this surprising situation, the trooper walks to the car and gently raps on the driver's window. The young man lowers his window. 'Uh, yes, Officer?' The trooper asks: 'What are you doing?' The young man says: 'Well, Officer, I'm reading a magazine.' Pointing towards the young woman in the back seat the Trooper says: 'And her, what is she doing?' The young man shrugs: 'Sir, I believe she's filing her fingernails.' Now, the trooper is totally confused. A young couple, alone, in a car, at night in a lover's lane ... And nothing is happening! The trooper asks: 'What's your age, young man?' The young man says: 'I'm 21, sir.' The trooper asks: 'And her .... what's her age?' The young man looks at his watch and replies: 'She'll be 18 in 11 minutes.'
Watching my husband get off a plane after not seeing him for months. I hate being separated from him now. A week is all I can stand I think.
I agree with everyone else. I love to sit and delve into another world. It's like I can almost see, smell and feel what the characters are seeing, smelling and feeling. My heart even races when they're scared or running, etc. The better the book and author the better my experience with it.
Definitely chapters for me. The world is a busy place and I find that I don't always have the time to sit down and read a long drawn out story. If the first chapter is good and holds my interest then I'll be back for more chapters. It's the same way for a book I hold in my hand. I don't finish it in one sitting. I have a book marker and I lay it down and come back to it when I have the time. That also creates a "me" time. Nice cup of tea, feet tucked under me and off I go into another world.
Hello Monday. Got some good news in the mail. That's always nice. Which reminds me. Whatever happened to people writing letters to each other?
Water, water and more water.
I've had writers block for a year. *sigh* I just don't feel it anymore.
I can't believe the week-ends go so fast. I was busy chasing my tail all week-end. At least it seems like it.
Someone somewhere in my neighborhood burnt some food and it stinks. Smells like pizza. Made me laugh.
