Simmie and I were married on March 17th. She is the love of my life and I am her rock in a world that is rapidly shifting under our feet. We were both once members here, but that was some time ago. Still, we hope to reconnect with some old friends. Please drop us a request if you share the fond memories we have with you. As we share a love of writing, we hope to post some works here soon. We constantly share ideas, so trying to distinguish who wrote what becomes irrelevant. That is one reason we opted to join the site using one account. For those who don’t know, Simplicity and I met online about three years ago. For a long while, we were just friends, until the day came when I had to let her know how I felt. A few months later, she joined me in Southern California and so began the happiest two years of my life. I look forward to many more with her by my side. Love will always find those who are open to its charm. It just took us a bit longer than most to find it. Faith has always been important to my wife, but even as spiritual a man as I was, my heart had not truly opened to Christ. Simmie has opened that door, and now we share in His glory. We have traveled some twisted roads on our way to find each other, but the journey ahead of us makes the miles behind seem like a distant memory.

Do you hear her scratching? As you rest upon your bed? Do you hear her whining? As your nightly dreams descend? She rises on her hind legs, Pawing at your door. She is just dog, you say, She will be just fine. What...

Like Fire Flies dancing in the night, Desperate lovers flit about, finding each other in random glory. Two become one, merging their luminescence Into a brilliant flash of radiant bliss, Bravo, to them I say, filled with joy that they've found their mate. But all too soon their lightning dims and they part again, Dancing in the dark until a new pair meet and glow anew. ...

When shall we wake? Shall we wait, wringing our hands, Until our last child smiles no more? Shall we wait until he’s gone to war? Shall we wait, with a self-righteous tear, as last he feels his mother's love, And ends his life in the streets of our City’s empty heart? When shall we wake? Shall we wait, clicking our tongues as the newsman tells of the old woman who suffered in the...
