Quotes at end are I'm Gonna Love You Through It by Martina McBride... from another account of mine..

She stares at the phone for a minute, wondering for a second if she heard him wrong. Maybe there was a mistake? Could there have been a small mistake and it effected her results by a lot?

"Hello? Miss? Are you still there?" She forces herself to put the phone back to her ear, and then forces out a choked, "Yes. I'm here."

Luna comes running in, only six, and she pastes on a smile, telling the doctor on the other line to hold on as Luna tugs at her shirt, "Mommy!"

"Yes, Luna?" she says softly, "Whatcha need?"

"Can I have some orange juice, Mommy?" She nods to her little one, setting the phone down a second and getting a small glass down and the orange juice out of the fridge, pouring it half-way, then handing it to Luna.

"Thank you, Mommy!"

"You're welcome, sweetheart."

Luna runs back out into the living room with Johnny, 9, and Daniel (Danny), 4, and she picks the phone back up.

"Are you sure?" She questions him.

"Yes, we are."

She drops the phone and it crashes to the floor. If she broke it, she doesn't care.

Her husband, in the other room with the kids, hears the crash and runs out to find her sitting against the wall, arms folded on her knees and her head laying down on them, shoulders shaking.

"Hey," he says softly, crouching next to her and pulling her to him, rubbing her back, "it'll be okay."

She shakes her head, "No. They just called. They found it... and..." sobs cut her off and he holds her close, whispering sweet little things in her ear.

"I'll be here through it all, hun. We all will. I love you so much."

She swallows down more tears and pulls back, wiping her eyes, "I love you too, John, so so much."

"She dropped the phone and burst into tears,
The doctor just confirmed her fears,
Her husband held it in and held her tight.
Cancer don't discriminate, or care if you're just 38
with 3 kids who need you in their lives..."
