She's no sunset in April, she's no beach in September
or that moment right before clouds unleash
where time stands rigid and sounds delete

She's no flame flickering in December, she's no 70 degrees in October
or that instant just before a wave collides
where the ocean sucks in its sides

She amends those moments and surpasses all similes metaphors and imagination
She makes my body didder uncontrollably
She makes my stomach dance unimaginatively
She makes me want to pretend I have an outstanding vocabulary

She makes it so that I am glad to see morning
she makes it so that I relish when things start dimming
she makes it so that everytime I leave my house I'm smiling

She's there every morning just to say
'hi, how were your dreams, while my body slept my brain missed you.'

She's there every night to tell me things are all alright, that we're going down south, that it's all happening together.

She's there as I am scared of people's eyes, sometimes to clasp my hand and remind me that she's not going anywhere, that she's proud to be mine, that I'm loved.

She's there when I get angry sometimes, to calm me down and let me know that 'this too will pass, everything will pass, now come back over here and lay with me.'

She's there to cheer me up, I'm there to cheer her up.
She's there to reassure me, I'm there to reassure her
Her body is there when I need it and so is mine
an argument doesn't scare her away
a bit of distance doesn't have her separate
the world could be collapsing right under our feet
but she's there, she's there standing right next to me.

Then I wake up, and she isnt there anymore
she's evaporated out of these pores
right out the bedroom door
My mind's made up a woman like this a million times before
