My Worst Nightmare

Fictional poem summarising a dream

My eyes were feeling heavy, as I crashed out in a heap.

I hugged my downy pillow, as I drifted off to sleep.

I was dreaming of my lover, with fondness in my heart.

She turned her back and walked away, my world just fell apart.

She took the ring I gave her and threw it on the floor.

Without regret or looking back, she stormed right out the door.

On bended knees I picked it up, my tears began to fall.

I asked myself a thousand times, how did I lose it all.
