Olden Troves

Tags: love

Sleeping into tomorrow on gold forsythia
as the moonlight hung a valance zinnia
dreaming of psalms and aphrodisia'
with roses strung on a bed of petal's vine
and spirits of Raphael

From your lips of red charming
and nectar's sweet of a pillow's down
of honey's dew in autumn's wind
with the essence of aged wine
from the vineyard of your heart

Like a swan in flight with gilded wings
with pollen of talcum snow
chasing rainbows cascading over falls
as angels play God's Calliope songs
of maidens wading in aphrodisia'

Climbing stairs to a love's nave
sleeping into tomorrow on gold forsythia
as the moonlight hung a valance zinnia
with a fine mellow of a finch singing
from a spire of olden troves
