The winds of lariat catching me a rainbow
sleeping in the warmth of the noon-day sun
listening to the rain whisper your name
longing for love in the shadows of your breath  
as my kiss settles on a prayer
I am thus the winds of a lariat

The tether breathes and circles around my head
as I begin to throw wrapped around a heart
that was once made of marbled stone
you don't know how much my whispers confess
I'm dreaming and I'm learning
beneath the twilight of my sweet...
