Winter's Candy

Tags: love

In the shadow of winter born
over the knolls and trees
of autumn leaves falling
and midnight calling
as echos of our love sing
from a meteorite's wing

Of the solstice moon
as we kiss the sweet
of the sap boiling
in our veins
of the lunar dust
as our tongues tangle

Beneath a distant star
and the maple in the jar
as I touch your lips
of mahogany red
catching your eyes
hardening into candy

In the shadow of winter born
as the widdershins stops
and the clock ticked-tocked
over the knolls and trees
harvesting our breath
of autumn leaves falling
