Ever as we pass through this vale of fears
We ponder as we wander dropping tears.
Must the hopes and faith that hold us apart
Be always rescinded, wiped from one's heart?
The beauty of trust, of truth, and of love
Are accepted, with the sunshine above,
As being ever there for our taking,
And friendship will never be forsaking
The promise that passed as being the test,
The true proof of love, of honor, the best
That we could offer to our own adored
Friend and companion, full faith and accord.
The past is gone and will never return
So this is our chance to see and to learn
That people are weak, often led astray
By the words of dishonor heard each day.
Forget and forgive we are told by some,
This advice is fine for beauty to come,
And also the truth will out, we are sure,
Reviving the friendship, faithful and pure.
