Broken

Trudging the paths of life with no direction,

I walked as I anxiously thought.

A lot of doors in front of me,

none were opened.

There’s a voice inside me.

There were voices behind me.

All of them told me which door to open.

I neglected what’s inside my heart.

I opened one and entered,

but monsters inside.

These creatures ate my flesh

until few of me were left.

I opened another one and entered,

but I saw desert and death.

I walked and I died.

Now I’m just breathing alive.

I remembered this voice I neglected.

I remembered what she said.

I remorse,

for now I’m broken.

Now, as I continue my journey,

I chose to follow what she says.

Although I’m not whole anymore,

I still choose to pick the every pieces of me.
