Somewhere, I lost it
But I’m glad it’s gone
No need to fret
Over what I’ve done wrong

There is a freedom
When you don’t need to try
A certain freedom
To just say good-bye

No effort needed
Nothing missed
Light of heart
Contented to drift

Fine if you’re here
But not for too long
Fine if you’re gone
I’ll just move on

How did I get here?
Not really sure
Will this go on?
Will my freedom endure?

Are there others
Who feel this way?
Nothing compelling
No luster to fade?

Is it not right
If I don’t feel wrong?
What’s there to fix
If no break is found?

The answer is easy
When what I see
Is someone who’s happy
To live just for me.
