Heart

repairing a heart

My heart had been shattered,
left broken on the floor.
I love you I'd cried,
as he walked out the door.

So I sat in darkness, crying and feeling hurt.
I didn't want him to leave,
the pain was too much and I didn't feel whole,
there was nothing left in to believe

But then you came, and found me.
You picked me up, held me tight and cared.
I didn't know why you'd stay with me, my darkness to your light.
But you held my hands and left my broken heart bared

You pick up the pieces,
and stuck them together best you could.
I didnt think I could love again,
but you said in time I would
