She was there all along,

Like the rhythm within a song.

Her melody playing behind your eyes,

Hummed in silence without knowing why.

Patiently waiting for you to see her,

The pain of loving you she would willingly endure.

She consoled herself with your voice from a distance,

Leaving no doubt she suffered by her resistance.

Each moment stolen twixt night and day,

Left her craving to hear the things you would say.

Each word held back in meaning and intent,

Neither wanting the wrong messages sent.

Hearts that beat in time and pace,

Will always find the smallest trace,

The slightest crack where love has hidden,

Alone in the dark, denied and forbidden.

Love will blossom in dark or light,

Hearts will ache in dead of night.

Yearning forces draw you near,

Until your only choice becomes quite clear.

Your love you confess none too soon,

You race through the sky and around the moon.

She entwines her love throughout your soul,

No longer apart, you are now whole.

What started out as puzzle pieces,

Slowly takes shape as your love increases.

The picture made and now so clear,

She is in your life and forever near.

Hearts may part and memories fade,

But never forgotten the love they made.

If only in their minds they met,

It was a love neither one will ever forget.
