My Baby

Where has the time gone
You seem to change daily
Growing faster each year
My forever baby

My precious little girl
Who no longer wears bows
It's time for pink or red lipstick
With matching toes

Dresses and leggings
Frilly little tees
Polka dots are a maybe
In purple or pink

Boyfriend letters
Cute little rhymes
Kissings still gross
But will change in time

I wish I could stop
And just rewind
To when I held you
My very first time

But as I gaze at you
I see the lady you're becoming
And I know without a doubt
You'll do better than your mommy

You'll conquer the world
Fly over mountains
Quench life's droughts
Bewitch the masses

Who could see you
And not smile
My beautiful baby
You make me so proud
