A raven came in a dream and called me owl
A wolf came growling and said I cry foul
He is not an owl I think he is kin to the devil
Surrounding me with fire on a spiritual level
Raven cawed casting some magic of his own
He is only troubled I think he has no home
Wolf arched his back giving an eerie howl
The one called owl hoo hooted with a scowl
Along came coyote to join with his friends
Yipping loudly owl needs to make amends
The spirits will then reset his path for him
Trickster head held high yelped out a hymn
Raven and wolf joined in singing along
Owl hummed he didn't know this song
They gathered in a circle with outstretched hands
Captured in the centre like a hub owl stands
Dancing and chanting twirling owl around
Twisting the fire into ashes on the ground
Along came the wind with a powerful gust
Creating a cyclone converting ashes into dust
Owl overwhelmed his body now naked and pink
Unsure of who he really is
am I owl or am I mink
Awaking from this dream shaking my head in disbelief
Still not aware of who I really am but feeling such relief
Armed with the knowledge my friends do care about me
They will help me find my roots and who I truly be
