Ode to Somniloquy

To all those who natter in their sleep, and to those who act as night-time scribes...

An humourous ode, written to cheer up a tired and glum friend whose nightly slumbers were disturbed by just such chatter as is detailed in this limerick - but without the surprise ending...

I sincerely hope you enjoy reading this, and never have the misfortune to encounter such an experience.

Now please, read on...
Ode to Somniloquy

There once was a puzzling somniloquist,
Of his mutterings his wife never quite caught the gist,
One night she could take no more,
As his voice came from the door,
Proof he was also a ventriloquist.
