One Day One Hour

pick up a newspaper

turn on the evening news

drive by shooting at your doorsteps

cabin burning rogue cop marked as a murder

mother killer goes to school and we sit and wonder

a joker visits a movie theatre and we talk and wonder

young girl on a bus loaded with bb's and we shake our heads

soldier boy just starting to shave guides a drone to a house

so we can sleep and think we are safe here at home

where is the humanity the respect for another's life

on this mud ball we all call home

I pray and begging you my Lord on this time of faith

give us One Day One Hour so the papers and the news

can go silent for we as humans can truly be safe

One Day One Hour on this mud ball called earth

on the drive by there is only a click praise the Lord

school children learning and playing praise the Lord

policemen protecting and serving praise the Lord

lovers young and old sitting in a movie praise the Lord

girl on the bus backpack filled with knowledge praise the Lord

as we all thru out the world go to sleep at peace praise the Lord

I pray I beg for One Day One Hour
