Rain

Rain sings an ongoing melody,
The choir standing tall and proud,
Basking in the world, his spotlight,
The ground absorbs the continuous harmony.

Rain knocks on your window at night,
Like a young lover throwing the pebbles,
Hoping to be unheard by the unwanted,
Awaiting to be let in.

Rain caresses the umbrella,
Before sharing his warm embrace with you,
Leaving cold tracks down your cheeks,
Hoping to be remembered.

Then rain hears his call, from his brother, the sun,
And unwillingly complies,
He isolates his happiness once more,
And lets his same, but opposite sibling, have his time to shine.
