Biting into one's soul, turning cheeks red, making them burn as if on fire.
Tears form, freezing, not letting your eyes blink.
Welding nostrils shut, diminishing your ability to breath, burning throats and lungs as mouth is forced to open, when needing another breath.
Snow and ice picked up from the ground swirling all around, blinding, peppering faces and all uncovered skin.
Are you the devil's brother Mr. Wind? Sucking the heat from every object in your path.
Bending, pushing, relentlessly until one breaks, needing to search out protection from your constant wrath.

Such a nice sunny day, you make it feel awfully cold.
Piercing winter coats, chilling bodies to the core.
Attacking all who venture out, you're extremely bold.

Snow devils swirl, creating many shapes, drifts form.
Coming out of the north, blowing, moving all around.
Sculpture masking the landscape, beauty of the storm.

Branches swaying, grasses laying flat against the ground.
Freezing everything in your path, a nasty, nasty, squall.
House rattles, creaks, groans, a chilling ghostly sound.

Jack Frost gathering on the inside of every window pane.
-40 centigrade thermometer shows, wind chill surely more.
Warmth sucked away, causing everything to shiver and strain.

I am happy to have a comfy place removed from your assault.
Sitting, watching out the window, snuggled tightly in my chair.
Placing another log in the fireplace, really not all that difficult.
