A man pens a ballad for the object of his attention.

My darling woman. These words are written,

To stop you wobbling like you've been bitten,

To give you pause, to open eyes,

To show respect, to sympathize.

I've only total love for you,

And will be here for all you do,

But all the time that you need space,

I'll show that too with all good grace.

These words I hope will give you steel,

By knowing that this friendship's real,

And no matter what life throws at you,

I'll be your friend whate'er you do.

I'll be your rock when times get tough,

When all goes wrong. When all is rough.

When pain is the only thing you see,

Suzanne, I'm waiting......Call on me!

I'll dry your tears and hold you tight,

And try to make all your wrongs right.

I'll make you smile and shatter all

The obstacles that have made you fall.

I'll mop your eyes when you feel teary,

and hold your hand when you feel weary.

I'll win your battles when you are scared,

Then pen you ballads of how we fared.

When you feel dark, I'll be your light.

When blindness hits, I'll be your sight.

I hope these words will make you see,

What you Suzanne, now mean to me!

The truth is Suz, You've caught my heart.

That hidden place, that sacred part.

You've coloured in my life of grey,

And chased the shadows all away.

You've brought me laughter, where there were tears,

and chased away all of those fears.

You've torn down walls and made me see,

The kind of man, I was born to be.

So now my friend, My thoughts are known,

My Friendship, love, and respect are shown.

So please stop the running, and let me be.

This friend to you....The friend that's me!
