Thirty-Three Years

Take my hand and we'll walk together.
How often we trusted our love was complete.
Is there any way to count the memories we shared.
Really, there is no way.
Take my hand as you always could.
You were ever the reason for my joy.

Time counts down as seasons come and go.
Have we done all that we might.
Really, there was no way.
Every chapter in the book must end.
Each day must be lived.

You must take my hand again.
Eagerly we walk together into the future.
Anniversary of our delightful joining.
Really, this is our day.
Softly caress my hand and we'll walk together.
