Show Me How To Shine

This poem only available on Stories Space. If you are reading it elsewhere, it has been stolen.

Oh, the stars that dance
In celestial flames,
Come, hold my hand,
Teach me your games.
Hop and skip,
And jump for joy,
The ugly darkness to annoy.

Kiss away
The midnight black;
Bring me the smiles
I sadly lack.
Touch my eyes
With firelight
And make my face
So merry bright.

Bend my gaze
To smile, not frown,
For I'd look up,
And never down.
Let me tread
The skies with you,
And shine as clearly
As you do.

Twinkle softly,
Blaze so brightly;
Bless with sparkles
Burning nightly.
Dance above me,
Lift me higher,
'Til I gleam
With starlit fire.
