I have heard Ennio Morricone's beautiful Once Upon a Time in the West many times, with various superb singers. This one, however, took me totally by surprise. There is no singer! Instead, the beautiful vocal parts are played on a... Theremin! I have heard this peculiar instrument many times but never has it sounded so beautiful as this.

Anna, your father was so brave

I can't top that, Elizabeth. That is so funny! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Stomach grippe is flooding the area, young and old.

Elizabeth... I was just wondering... did you notice the title of this thread, perchance? 😉🤣

Old eyes struggle to see.

Perchance I did and perchance I didn't Anna.

See strange bright lights beaming.

😋🤗

Smiling through these dark days.

I like The Moody Blues, always have. Justin Hayward has such a distinctive voice.

That got me thinking of another distinctive sound, Procol Harum. Could this be considered a precursor to symphonic metal, perhaps?

Ahhh, Anna was from a family of obvious wealth

That wasn't my family, Elizabeth. My sister's and my career path was preordained from a young age... 🤭

Fortunately, the strong wind makes the local church bell sound like Pink Floyd, High Hopes. 🤣

I first saw Helene Fischer on TV whilst visiting Munich. I adored her Christmas concert from the Hofburg, Vienna. That was some six years ago. Imagine my surprise when I found this! I will probably be shot for daring to say that I actually prefer Adam Lambert to Freddie Mercury! 😲

Another excellent (Dutch) vocalist is Diane van Geisbergen. She was awesome with the German band Xandria.
