I raised a ticket regarding the lack of email notifications some two months ago. Now there are no email notifications for anything. Not for story comments, new stories from those I follow, not even for direct messages. I feel that this is a very important problem and likely to be detrimental to the site.

I've re-synced the badges, can you let me know if they're correct.

Mine have been updated, but I am still 7 or 8 badges missing.

The chosen words from Carl Sagen, as read by Geraldine James, not to mention the stunning video, makes Ad Astra by Nightwish a pure joy to see and hear.

In the spirit of unification and remembrance, here is a song that was loved by soldiers on both sides during World War Two.

Congratulations to the winners and runners up. I agree with Molly, There were some excellent entries and I am sure that it wasn't easy.

This is what I'm listening to at the moment. Just because.

Which brought to mind...

Another new discovery for me. She is called Harriet, and all I can say is... Wow, just wow!

Fortunately, Anna's Teddy Bear knows when to keep its mouth shut! 🐻

Here in the UK, all NHS staff are now required to be double vaccinated by April '22 or lose their jobs. I can't believe that anyone in the medical profession would even consider not being vaccinated! That truly is incredibly selfish.

I went to the doctor recently as I was suffering from acute constipation.

He asked all the things I had used to try to relieve it, and he admitted that there was only one thing left to try.

He handed me a small capsule.

"Place this in your back passage as soon as you get home and come back and see me tomorrow afternoon."

As arranged, I went back the following day and he asked,

"Any improvement?"

I shook my head, sadly.

"No Doctor. I still can't go."

"Did you do as I asked, with the suppository?"

"The thing is, Doctor," I replied, hesitantly. "We don't have a back passage, so I put it in the garden. Is that ok?"

That is Hohenschwangau, the village that nestles at the foot of the Alps just below Neuschwanstein Castle... damn, I really want to be there! πŸ˜ͺ

But if its Christmas why would there be a winter's fire? Christmas is all about heat and humidity, July is the time for winter ghost stories.

I have Rellies in NZ. But no, It just wouldn't work for me. This is Christmas for me:

One last thing for now. Just in case you may have missed it with the excitement of the changeover, we now have a Historical Fiction category. I know quite a few people have been asking for that and we finally got it.

I am sure that I will be seen in that category in the future. πŸ˜‰

I think there are too many chapters to re-position for my Nurses tale, though, so I will stick to drama for the remainder of it. πŸ‘

I’m watching You on Netflix.

But, Helen, I'm not on Netflix! πŸ˜²πŸ˜‹

Still Vampire. 😎

Full Horror Movie (i.e. The Hills Have Eyes) or scarily plausible Horror (i.e. Wolf Creek)?

I am celebrating the publication of my 200th story on Stories Space! πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜

I am catching up on a documentary series called, The Race to Perfection. It is about the history of what makes Formula One the pinnacle of Motor Racing. Some great memories are brought to mind by the likes of Fangio, Graham Hill, Mansell, Senna, Prost, Hakkinen, Schumacher and, of course, Hamilton. It is also about the cars and the teams. Wonderful to see all the old footage again. πŸ˜πŸ‘
