'Here' requires some considerable effort.

Quote by MendallaI discovered , just before the change over, that you could change your story vote. You just had to know how. πQuote by AnnaMayZingOn the previous incarnation of this site, on the home page, the stories had a square beside the title showing the number of votes. Below it was indicated whether you had voted or not. That seems to have disappeared now, and I can see no indication of whether I have read/voted.
Also, it no longer locks the voting after you vote so you can change your vote at any time (old site locked it and you needed to get a mod to change a vote). Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Stories: On Lush, when you have read a story it is sort of greyed out. That way you can scroll down to the first non greyed out one to read next. Being a pensioner I need all the help I can get! Or is there a way to see if you have already read a story?

Anna, it was proven long ago that gender identity, like sexual orientation, is not a matter of choice.

To blatantly state otherwise is diametrically opposed to the welcoming inclusiveness you claim β itβs dismissive marginalization.
Verbal and I are not the ones missing the point here.
Sadly, Maggie, yes you did miss the point. The point is, It doesn't matter how you identify yourself, you will be welcome here. The Admins have offered 13 choices. Is that not enough? Don't bother posting links about how people identify themselves, it's not the issue, and do not dare accuse me of dismissing the choices of others! As I said, ALL are welcome, without exception! Can you say say the same, hand on heart? I doubt it.
Quote by MendallaI noticed the same. Two notifications about a story being verified.Another little glitch with notifications: I notice that sometimes I am getting two notifications for the same event. For instance, marleyadmin just liked a post. I got two notifications about them liking my post, but when I check My Comments, there's only one Like there. Usually seems to happen when I am on site. If there are notifications waiting when I come in, there usually aren't dups. Also, seems to be mainly with Likes so far. Can't recall getting one for a reply or watched thread notification.
Just wondering, but has this thread just become a generic ten-word story thread? π€
I don't mind, but the original post contained this...
The fine print:
β’ Each story must include one of the[se] word selections:
- Celebration
- Achievement
- Stories
- Space
- Camaraderie
- Ten
- Friendly
- Free
- Cozy
- Supportive
Quote by Violet_the_VerboseApparently, it's what the 'Wink' button sends.Quote by CuriousAnnieHey, one of those was from me, Violet...
And while I am not sure what button I pressed, I do like what I have seen
You know you really are a hot item, giggles, and rushing off, something else on my mind :)
Thanks Baronvonmonty for removing this, I am teasing Violet. :)
Oh hey there!
I've been checking out your stories and I like what I've seen, why don't you take a look at mine to see if we click?
Hope to hear from you soon. π I'm happy you liked my pg13 and g rated stories here.Quote by yurigagarinThat's because you're an astronaut. You've been sending these from Outerspace.
I too have had that message sent to two of my friends in the last couple of days - I knew it wasn't an original message of mine because I've never wanted to 'click with anyone !
I am a little surprised by the gender discussion getting so heated from certain members. While I appreciate that gender may be very important on a certain other site, I don't see why it is here. Surely it only matters if there is some kind of, shall we say, 'interest'. I am here to write stories. Friends can be whatever they want to be, so far as I am concerned. Shouldn't we just be glad that we have a site at all? So far as I am concerned, we can all be gender-neutral, or Human Being so, Male, Female, Other should be the most that is required, in my humble opinion, along with blue, pink and grey indicators.
Let's just get the site settled, shall we?
Quote by MollyIt is, but the commentator had to re-post it. I have no idea what happened to the original.Quote by AnnaMayZingOne of my notifications was informing me of a comment being made on one of my stories. I clicked on it and it took me to the story, but there was no new comment visible.
Is it there now?
Quote by MendallaI just logged on to find 205 notifications of forum posts! Not helpful. π²Pardon my French, but f-it, I just got 84 more notifications showing up after the notification about Violet's reply to me showed up.
What I want is to only get notified about forum posts if they are a reply to one of my posts. Otherwise, I don't need to get a notification for every post in every thread I have posted in.
Quote by MendallaAge showed up on the previous site, if you filled it in on your profile. You don't have to tell the truth either. Hover over my Avatar to see how old I am... π²π€£Oh, I did just find a place where age shows up (belated apologies to GodsAngel). If you hover over a username in the My Friends list, the pop-up shows age. Please remove it or give us control over it so we can decide if it shows. There's no point to making the birthdate on our profiles private but then revealing our age in the profile preview. Same pop-up also shows if you hover over a username in your Inbox but I assume it's calling the same window so fixing it in one will fix all.
Quote by SurvivorThere does not seem to be a list of the badges available to be awarded. The badges that appear on my profile are not accurate. I had 28 last week. I have 16 today. Two of those I did not have before. I cannot seem to find a list.
Quote by MendallaI agree with both of these. I have lost around eleven badges and there is no copyright statement on my stories. Is the ability to have copyright statement automatically added going to return at some point? Or should we start putting a manual one in the Author's note or something like that? Just realized today there's no copyright statement on any of the stories.
I tried to change my background pic but, due to the dimensions set by the site, I can't do it.
However, there is a much bigger issue that I find seriously aggravating.
When I receive a message notification in my email inbox, if I click on it, I am taken to the message and automatically logged onto the site. This then indicates that I am online and on-site, which I really do not want, The old system showed the message body in the email. If I then wanted to read the message on-site, I would have to physically log in. I feel that the current system could constitute a breach of privacy as it allows direct access to anyone who can read the email.
