Another small thing, just for the sake of convenience. Would it be possible to have the Previous and Next buttons at the top of the page as well as at the bottom? 

When working back through forum posts, it just saves scrolling back to the bottom to move backwards or forwards.

Stories: On Lush, when you have read a story it is sort of greyed out. That way you can scroll down to the first non greyed out one to read next. Being a pensioner I need all the help I can get! Or is there a way to see if you have already read a story?

Sadly, Maggie, yes you did miss the point. The point is, It doesn't matter how you identify yourself, you will be welcome here. The Admins have offered 13 choices. Is that not enough? Don't bother posting links about how people identify themselves, it's not the issue, and do not dare accuse me of dismissing the choices of others! As I said, ALL are welcome, without exception! Can you say say the same, hand on heart? I doubt it.

Another little glitch with notifications: I notice that sometimes I am getting two notifications for the same event. For instance, marleyadmin just liked a post. I got two notifications about them liking my post, but when I check My Comments, there's only one Like there. Usually seems to happen when I am on site. I am a little surprised by the gender discussion getting so heated from certain members. While I appreciate that gender may be very important on a certain other site, I don't see why it is here. Surely it only matters if there is some kind of, shall we say, 'interest'. I am here to write stories. Friends can be whatever they want to be, so far as I am concerned. Shouldn't we just be glad that we have a site at all? So far as I am concerned, we can all be gender-neutral, or Human Being so, Male, Female, Other should be the most that is required, in my humble opinion, along with blue, pink and grey indicators. 

Let's just get the site settled, shall we?

What I want is to only get notified about forum posts if they are a reply to one of my posts. Otherwise, I don't need to get a notification for every post in every thread I have posted in.

Oh, I did just find a place where age shows up (belated apologies to GodsAngel). If you hover over a username in the My Friends list, the pop-up shows age. Please remove it or give us control over it so we can decide if it shows. There's no point to making the birthdate on our profiles private but then revealing our age in the profile preview. Same pop-up also shows if you hover over a username in your Inbox but I assume it's calling the same window so fixing it in one will fix all.

There does not seem to be a list of the badges available to be awarded. The badges that appear on my profile are not accurate. I had 28 last week. I have 16 today. Two of those I did not have before. I cannot seem to find a list.

I tried to change my background pic but, due to the dimensions set by the site, I can't do it. 

However, there is a much bigger issue that I find seriously aggravating.

When I receive a message notification in my email inbox, if I click on it, I am taken to the message and automatically logged onto the site. This then indicates that I am online and on-site, which I really do not want, The old system showed the message body in the email. If I then wanted to read the message on-site, I would have to physically log in. I feel that the current system could constitute a breach of privacy as it allows direct access to anyone who can read the email.

And another... Uploading YouTube clips and pictures to the forums? The camera icon seems to be connected only to profile pics and there is no YouTube upload so only a link appears. 😲
