Just goes to show,
How little you know!
You say there is no line for me,
And yet there it is, you see?

and what's more...

IT'S THE END!

From the second LP I bought around 48 years ago! Still have it and still in good condition. smile

Nope, you both got it wrong.

The End is the Beginning means that the last letter of the previous word becomes the first letter of the next word.

Verity, I think you were getting confused with the Word Association Game.

Al, I think that you are just confused!

This morning, my daughter asked why a pole vaulter cried after she failed to jump. The athlete ran towards the bar, but fell into the mats and cried. I tried to explain. When someone wants something, something they've trained for for almost their entire teenage (if not younger) and adult life, and they can't complete that task due to injury or something else, it is heartbreaking. Gut wrenching. Demoralizing. Hence, the ugly cry tears. My daughter didn't quite get it. She's young. I then reminded her how she freaked out and the tears fell when crashed a few days ago. Mid-post and chatting with her friends, she was cutoff. She still didn't get it. I think. Best I read another parenting book about teaching empathy. LOL.

The last time I went to Munich, I visited the Olympiapark where the 1972 Olympics were held.
Whilst I was walking across the grass I saw a man coming towards me carrying a long, fibreglass shaft on his shoulder.
As he got close, I stopped and asked, "Excuse me, are you a Pole Vaulter?"
He gave me a rather angry look and snapped;
"No, I am a German, and my name is not Walter!"

Ok, It's an old one but I like it.

Congrats to all the winners and honourable mentions and well done to everyone who entered. Let's hope there will be more in the pipeline.

Hope you are all keeping safe and well.

TTFN.
