Good evening all.

Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'!

Baron Bomburst lived in the most beautiful place in the world (in my humble opinion). Schloß Neuschwanstein.

I love Neuschwanstein. Mad King Ludwig may have been, well, mad but his architectural and musical sense (he patronized Wagner and helped get the Bayreuth Festspielhaus built) made up for it.

Unfortunately, the 'Architect' that Ludwig II commissioned to design it, was actually not an architect but a set designer for Richard Wagner. Hence the immense cost of the building. It was never completed and was the final straw for the state of Bavaria.

I don't like musicals generally, but Chitty is so beautifully photographed that it is impossible not to love it.

I hope you are all keeping safe and well. I would stay longer but, well, it's bedtime here. ;)

Thank you...

And also let's address the issue of zoo-viruses spread between species.

There is a reason why these viruses spread from China... Open air markets stack animals of different species and allow for transmission of viruses. Live animals are stacked on top of one another with no regard for disease transmission. Viruses spread and mutate. It's only a matter of time before a virus wipes out humans.

And please don't tag me with the title of cultural insensitivity. You can not lock up dogs, bats and salamanders and sell them to people as meat if you have any basic knowledge of microbiology.

This has long been an issue with me, and I expect more pandemics to occur in the future.

The storage of animals for human consumption is a breeding ground for viruses. We can't do this anymore.

Did someone know something? 😱

Thanks for the good info, Keith. In my circle of family and friends, we’re big believers in herd immunity.

And now?

Mony Mony - by Billy Idol - it is the dance song that brought out the groove in my wife and I - before marriage and after. Although there are many slow songs that we danced to - this was the one that made us love being ridiculous on the dance floor. To this day - we can still bounce to it as we sing along - often looking at each other while we do.

I go a little further back than Billy idol. I always loved the Tommy James original.

Going a little off tangent, my son recently had a minor accident but the damage was sufficient to write off his car (it was 16 years old). An old lady failed to give way. Nobody was hurt and she freely admitted liability.
The following Saturday, he and I drove many miles looking for a replacement, none of which were any good.
The next day, he rang me.
"Can you pick me up, I've found a car on Facebook!" he said. I asked him where it was. "Your next-door neighbour!" was the unexpected reply.

Hello everyone. I’m new here today. I am also from the red site. Wow, my first day and I’ve already had a story published. Thank you for making me welcome. I hope to publish many more. Regards, Verity.

Welcome, Verity! Many of us came from the red site, but you will find it somewhat different here. Somewhat more relaxed, shall we say.

Anything I can help you with then please, don't hesitate to ask.
