I have never seen the Film, 9 1/2 Weeks, but one of my favourite songs is from it. I love atmospheric music, and for me, This City Never Sleeps is the best track to come from The Eurythmics. Another one where I can close my eyes and let my imagination go. The image of a big city at night (in my case, London) is really brought to life. Put on headphones, crank up the volume just a little, and blank out everything else.

In my humble opinion, David Gilmour is the greatest rock guitarist, bar none. His guitar work is flawless. I can close my eyes and easily be transported to heaven.

Here is an example of his work. From his live concert in 2006 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Remember That Night. Featuring Richard Wright on keyboards, this is The Blue

Lotion. Can't remember when I last used Castor oil (Although I have used Castrol oil! 👌).

Foreign language TV/Movies: Dubbed or subtitled?

A big thanks to WriterGirl and her sister for this inspired competition and also for their generosity. The entries were all really good, and Jason and James are the very worthy winners.

I am sure it will delight Anna to know that I am currently watching a livestream of Eivor's performance at Hellfest 2024.

Not as much as if Anna was watching. 😂

A step back in time, now, though, to the 1980s. From one of the world's greatest guitarists, Mark Knopfler along with his band Dire Straits. This is Private Investigations.

I wouldn't say that this is the best song I ever heard in a movie. I wouldn't even say it is a good song, but...

It is of its time (1966) and was very tongue-in-cheek. I think it worked very well in the movie. The faces are even recognisable!
