I'm a poor judge of my own work - stuff I really like tends to do quite badly whereas work I don't especially like does better. Bizarre but true

Wow, just quoting myself from a couple of years back - seems I liked some of my stuff when I first wrote it back then. These days I hate everything I’ve written until I can’t remember it anymore. Then, if I reread it (which I very rarely do) I’m sometimes pleasantly surprised.
And sometimes not

Helen, as one of the best writers I know you have nothing to be critical of. You know what I like... and don't like... about your work. Maybe you should read more of your own. None of it is bad.
Hi Everyone.PFqwTwBALCy21x9X
Well, here's an unexpected twist.
Since January, we have been going through the process of selling my mum's house after she passed away last December. Today, the solicitor emailed to say that the contracts are ready to sign and I can't go over to remove the last of her furniture and final effects. Goodness knows how on earth I am going to sort this one out. The UK is in lockdown so I can't safely rent a van or get together with other family members.
Oh well, I suppose it will work out one way or another...

In the meantime, several cups of strong coffee.

Good to hear that you are all generally managing okay.

On a lighter note, My Dentist has cancelled on me. Can't say I'm too disappointed.

Carrying on regardless.

Negotiation leading to happy conclusion.

Negotiation is now almost mandatory.

My conclusion here, Tiger is that you chose the wrong word...

Why are you ridiculing me?

Oh, Tiger. I am not ridiculing you. We have fun here, in the Games. We all make mistakes and when we do we make a joke about it and move on.
You started your five word sentence with the first word of the previous sentence instead of the last. Just an oversight, I'm sure but we have all done it.
I was using the word that you should have used, 'conclusion' to make a light hearted point. I didn't mean to upset you. I'm sorry.
For letting the Kitties and Puppies too near to my Dragons and getting their fur singed. Shame on you, Miss Sara!

It is interesting hearing all your experiences. I too have relatives in the healthcare profession. Two of them work in Hospitals.
The English have been terribly selfish so far. There have been no restrictions yet but the store shelves are empty of essentials such as bread, meat, toilet paper, cleaning materials and so on. I have not stock-piled anything but yesterday I had to go to three separate supermarkets just to get my ordinary shopping. Even then, I couldn't get everything. Asda (Walmart) has had to close at night (24 hours usually) because they couldn't keep up with the hoarders who went in when it was quiet and the shelves were being stacked. What with Brexit and now this... Could the UK sink any lower?
Anyway, I hope that all of you with the underlying conditions manage to stay safe and well. I also have family who are at risk. This is indeed a very worrying time.

Just as an aside though, my other-half is convinced that this is the end of the world and is absolutely obsessed with watching all the news reports and reading on-line articles.

An interesting comparison, however, is the Spanish flu Pandemic of 1918-1920. It infected 500 million people, a quarter of the worlds population with the death toll estimated at anywhere between 17 million and 50 million, possibly even higher.
Puts this into perspective, doesn't it?

Some more interesting figures:
2008-2009: 13,000 deaths related to common flu. (UK)
2019: 27,820 killed or seriously injured on UK roads

Maybe we shouldn't worry too much over Covid19? Just a thought.

Nevertheless, keep taking precautions and stay safe all of you, from everything that is out to get you!
